Formed in April 2021, Stealing Handshakes is a four-piece alternative rock band hailing from Pampa, Texas. Blending the grit and melody reminiscent of Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, and Counting Crows, the band delivers a modern edge while staying true to the genre’s emotional core. Stealing Handshakes has quickly built momentum across Texas and beyond, earning finalist honors at the LHUCA Battle of the Bands and taking home the win at the City of Borger’s Boomtober Battle of the Bands. Their growing reputation has led them to share stages with nationally recognized acts including Kansas, Hed PE, Horizon Theory, and A Skylit Drive, while also performing at notable regional festivals like Pampafest and 1887 Fest. Their latest single, “Chloroform,” is a raw and powerful exploration of personal battles with alcoholism and substance abuse. Other releases continue that emotional depth—“The Fallout,” captures the tension of strained relationships, while “Ellipsis,” reflects the fractured communication of modern dating culture. Each single combines memorable hooks, driving riffs, and emotionally resonant lyrics that connect with listeners on a deeper level. With consistent airplay on Rock 108 Amarillo and a growing fanbase, Stealing Handshakes continues to expand their reach.
