For more than two decades, Space March has crafted music that melds the spirit of 1980s synthpop and seminal art-pop with modern electronic production. With the motto “finding new directions for synthpop,” Space March pushes into unexpected melodic and conceptual territory while retaining a signature sound. Craig Simmons is the multi-discipline artist behind the project. Everything you hear and see under the Space March name — voice, synths, production, visuals, design — comes from one creative desk. Career highlights include a debut album ranked #1 in an annual “Best of” critics poll by a major U.S. publication, and a collaboration with veteran producer/engineer Mark Saunders — known for his work with Erasure, A-ha, The Cure, David Byrne and others. Space March embraces music as sustained creative research — a pop music research institute.
