Smacked Youth are a three-piece alternative punk outfit from Newcastle, NSW, consisting of Sam D’Agostino (guitar/vocals), Sean Doyle (bass/vocals) and Sam Coleman (drums/percussion). Renowned for their explosive live shows and uncompromising songwriting, the band have built a reputation as one of Australia’s most formidable regional punk acts. The band have already demonstrated strong international reach, having toured the UK and Europe with shows in London, Amsterdam and Berlin. Domestically, Smacked Youth completed an extensive 24-date national tour alongside Australian rock royalty The Screaming Jets, further cementing their status as a road-hardened live act. They have also shared stages with some of Australia’s most recognisable rock artists, including Dune Rats and legendary hard rock outfit Rose Tattoo, performing to large and diverse audiences across club and festival stages. In 2026, Smacked Youth will take a major step forward internationally with their first Canadian tour, highlighted by an appearance at NXNE (North by Northeast). Widely regarded as one of Canada’s most important music festivals, NXNE is a key gateway into the North American market, placing the band in front of international industry, media and new audiences. Their inclusion in the festival signals growing international recognition and positions Smacked Youth for continued expansion beyond Australia.
