Sludge Mother is a female-led rock artist, driven by vocalist Cami Petyn, who creates "nu grunge" music that blends the raw energy and sludgy riffs of '90s grunge with contemporary rock, metal, and pop elements. Her recent endeavors include the release of her debut EP, 'How Can Anything Bloom?', which came out in early 2026 and features tracks such as "I Don't Want A Job," "Antidote," and "Bloom." The single "I Don't Want A Job" gained traction on TikTok for its intense sound and themes of economic struggle. In February 2026, Sludge Mother was featured on the Metal Queens Podcast to discuss her music, including the haunting single "Bloom." The artist is currently writing a full-length album, with singles anticipated for late 2026 and the album expected by early 2027.
