About the artist

Miguel Andrés Martínez Perea, professionally known as Slow Mike, is a Colombian producer, songwriter, and rapper born on June 30, 1986, in Condoto, Chocó. He emerged as a founding member of the Grammy-winning group ChocQuibTown, where he shaped the band's signature fusion of hip-hop, funk, and Afro-Colombian rhythms, notably on albums like Oro (2010) and El Mismo (2015) . Beyond the group, Slow Mike has produced for prominent artists such as Daddy Yankee ("Problema"), Manuel Turizo ("Los Cachos"), and Shakira ("Copa Vacía" with Manuel Turizo) . In 2019, he co-produced Rich Music's collaborative EP The Academy, featuring Sech, Dalex, and Justin Quiles . His solo career includes singles like "Todita" (2020), "En Lo Oscurito" (2022), and "Orgullo" (2023), as well as collaborations such as "Anestesia" (2024) with Goyo and Venesti. In 2025, he released "Pailas Parcera," continuing his exploration of Afrobeat and urban Latin sounds.
