His pulsating 808’s and uptempo trap-like beats are definitive of a new generation of UK trap music, and with UK trap on the rise to popularity it's no wonder SHEK is one of South England's most sought out artists. After three years of DJ’ing at some of London’s best underground events and club scenes including Deltic Group Clubs, his journey to producing began. Contrary to what is traditionally accepted in non-western cultures, SHEK has exceeded expectations and defied doubts of a traditionally orthodox South Indian culture. ‘I grew up in Tamil Nadu, South India. Careers in the creative industry, specifically music, aren't always respected or credited as much as they should be. I know I have what it takes to shift that.’ And he’s on track to doing just that. With his vibrant, energized sound and increasing number of collaborations with emerging UK artists, this 22-year-old is at the forefront of a UK trap epidemic. ‘I want to inspire others to make music, leave a mark in the industry’ SHEK says.
