Secret Cinema, whose real name is Jeroen Verheij, is a legendary Dutch techno producer and a key figure in the global techno scene for over 25 years. He is recognized as a pioneer of live electronic acts, initially preferring to perform only his own music live before expanding into DJing after 15 years. Verheij's career began in 1991 with his track "Sonar System" as Meng Syndicate, which became a rave classic, followed by his influential Secret Cinema release "Timeless Altitude" in 1994, celebrated by artists like Carl Cox and Sven Väth. He also heads Gem Records, a fast-growing global techno label, and hosts the weekly radio show Gem FM. In terms of recent endeavors, Secret Cinema has upcoming performances listed, including a "ZERØBPM: Sunday Ceremony | 17.5-Hour Ambient Meditation Experience" in Amsterdam on November 30, 2025, and "Spätkauf Techno presents Secret Cinema Melkweg Amsterdam" on February 28, 2026.
