Sam Grassie is a fingerstyle guitarist and songwriter hailing from Scotland, now based in London, known for blending intricate folk and blues guitar with evocative songwriting, exploring the boundaries between traditional folk and world blues. He is highly influenced by Bert Jansch and is recognized as a rising star in the folk world. Grassie released his debut EP, "Sandwood," in 2024, which features a distinctive sound incorporating woodwind, sax, drones, and double bass, and has been championed by various radio stations and music publications. He has toured the UK supporting artists such as Naima Bock and Gently Tender, and performed at Bert Jansch's 80th Birthday Celebrations. Upcoming endeavors include performances at Knockengorroch Festival 2025 and The Good Life Society Summer Camp Craft Weekend in 2025, with his first full-length album expected in 2025, which will combine original material with Celtic melodies and desert blues rhythms. He also has upcoming performances scheduled with Tóchar in January 2025 and with Ellie McCann.
