About Ruins of Perception

Deathcore

Ruins of Perception is a German symphonic deathcore band from Berlin, formed in 2016. The five-piece combines aggressive rhythms and gutturals with spherical choirs, orchestrals, and catchy melodies, blending elements of death metal, slam, symphonic, and black metal to create a unique and heavy sound. Following their 2022 debut album *Shinigami*, the band released their EP *Ballads ov Blood* on May 31, 2024, which delves into vampire themes and features guest vocalists Dan Tucker of Crown Magnetar and David Simonich of Signs of the Swarm. They also signed a deal with the US-based record label Seek & Strike for this release. More recently, Ruins of Perception unveiled a music video for their single "Ashura" on May 15, 2025, which blends elements from their previous works with metalcore and djent, and explores Japanese mythology. Additionally, in March 2025, they released a deathcore cover of Dimmu Borgir's "Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse" accompanied by a music video. The band has built a strong fanbase, playing shows and small tours across Germany and making international debuts in various European countries.
