Rubio, the musical project of Chilean artist, songwriter, and producer Fran Straube, crafts an alchemic blend of dark avant-pop, often categorized as indie latino. Her textural sound fuses elements of EDM, trip-hop, Andean roots music, reggaeton, dembow, and trap, characterized by a ghostly, shivering vocal cadence and intimate lyricism. Lauded by publications like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and Billboard, Rubio's critically acclaimed albums include 2018's *Pez*, 2020's *Mango Negro*, and 2023's *Venus & Blue*. In recent endeavors, Rubio was nominated for a Latin Grammy for her music video "Nacimos Llorando" and made her debut on Tiny Desk Concert. She composed the soundtrack for the 2022 film *La Caída*, which earned two international Emmy Awards, and received the Mexican Diosa de Plata award for its song "Después de Ahogarme". Her music has been featured in popular TV shows such as *Élite* and *Reina del Sur*, and she has performed at major festivals including Lollapalooza and Primavera Sound.
