Rotting Christ is a pioneering Greek extreme metal band formed in 1987 by brothers Sakis and Themis Tolis, widely celebrated as a foundational pillar of the Hellenic black metal sound. Over more than three decades, their style has evolved from early raw black and grind-influenced roots into a cinematic, atmospheric fusion of black, gothic, and dark metal characterized by brooding choir arrangements, ritualistic rhythms, and neoclassical elements. Continuing to build upon their extensive legacy following their fourteenth studio album, *Pro Xristou*, and the live release *35 Years of Evil Existence: Live in Lycabettus*, the band has remained actively engaged in international touring, including a major North American run on "The Godless IV" tour alongside Behemoth and Deicide, alongside the release of a re-recorded edition of their landmark album *Aealo*.
