Rondodasosa, born Mattia Barbieri in 2002 in Milan's San Siro district, is a prominent Italian rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his dynamic blend of Italian trap, drill, and UK drill sounds. He rose to prominence in 2020 with his debut EP *Giovane Rondo* and gained significant recognition for tracks like "Face to Face." His music often features emotionally charged storytelling and street-driven realism. Rondodasosa has collaborated with notable artists such as Central Cee, Russ Millions, Tion Wayne, Gazo, and Byron Messia, showcasing his growing international appeal. His debut album, *Trenches Baby*, released in 2022, reached number one in Italy and has achieved gold certification. He has amassed a significant number of certifications, including eight platinum and nine gold. In 2023, he released *MOTIVATION 4 THE STREETZ* with Artie 5ive, followed by *Blue Tape* in 2024. His latest album, *MATTIA*, was released in 2025. Most recently, in September 2025, he released the single "LIVIN" featuring Caribbean artist Byron Messia, a track described as a "cultural exchange" blending drill energy with a melodic Caribbean cadence. This endeavor, accompanied by a video shot in the US Virgin Islands, highlights his continued push to expand his sound and reach a global audience. Rondodasosa has expressed ambitions to be the first Italian rapper to achieve major success in America.
