Rondò Veneziano is an Italian chamber orchestra renowned for its distinctive classical crossover sound, blending Baroque and classical music with contemporary pop, rock, and electronic elements. Founded in 1979 by composer and conductor Gian Piero Reverberi, the group employs original Baroque instruments alongside a modern rhythm section featuring synthesizers, bass guitar, and drums. Their live performances often include musicians, predominantly women, adorned in Baroque-era attire, enhancing their unique aesthetic. The orchestra has achieved significant global success, with album sales exceeding 30 million by 2017. Since 2025, Stefano Marchioro, who previously served as a keyboard programmer for Reverberi, has taken on the role of the new pianist and conductor. Rondò Veneziano continues to perform, with upcoming concerts scheduled for July and November 2026 in locations such as Bergamo, Italy, and Bucharest, Romania.
