RIP Magic is a London-based four-piece band known for their blend of experimental electronica from the 90s, European cold wave, 2010s indie-rock, and industrial influences reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails, often characterized by menacing vocals and raw textures. The group, comprising Marco Pini, Felix Bayley-Higgins, Beth Boswell-Knight, and Pedro Takahashi, has quickly built a reputation for their chaotic and immersive live performances. Most recently, RIP Magic released the James Murphy-produced single "5words" on March 6, 2026, via DFA Records, marking their first physical release and featuring a remix by Maurice Fulton. This "strutting, swirling dance-rock jam" is notable as Murphy's first production for another band in a decade. Prior to this, they gained significant buzz with their self-released double single "Loot / Dox" in June 2025. The band supported LCD Soundsystem in December 2025, where they quietly previewed "5words". They are currently on a North American tour supporting Fcukers, with a US headline show scheduled for April 23, 2026, in New York City. Additionally, they have upcoming European concert dates in May and August 2026.
