Rikas is a vibrant German indie-pop band hailing from the Stuttgart region, known for their eclectic blend of retro pop, modern funk, and indie rock. The quartet comprises Sam Baisch (vocals, bass), Sascha Scherer (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Ronge (vocals, guitar), and Ferdinand Hübner (vocals, drums, keyboards), all of whom contribute to their signature sound featuring rhythmic guitars, funk-infused bass lines, dynamic vocal harmonies, and tight, syncopated grooves. Their music often evokes a sun-drenched, road-trip vibe, complete with Beach Boys-esque harmonies. In their latest endeavors, Rikas is set to release their highly anticipated sophomore album, "Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet," on February 7, 2025. This album is described as their most cohesive and contemplative work to date, featuring 12 vibrant tracks inspired by their extensive travels and touring experiences. As a preview of the album, they released the single "Opposite Opinions" on November 8, 2024. Additionally, recent 2025 singles include "Last Train to London" and "Goodnight Tonight". Following the album release, Rikas plans to play select shows in Germany and embark on a European tour in spring 2025. The band has also expanded its reach internationally, having made their U.S. debut at SXSW in March 2023. Rikas has garnered a significant following, accumulating over 25 million streams on Spotify.
