Right Said Fred is an English pop, Europop, and dance-pop band formed in 1989 by brothers Fred and Richard Fairbrass. They are widely recognized for their iconic 1991 hit single "I'm Too Sexy," which achieved global success, including a number one spot in the US, making them the first band since The Beatles to reach that milestone with a debut single. The duo has sold over 25 million records worldwide, topped charts in 30 countries, and earned two Ivor Novello Awards and multiple BMI Awards. In recent years, Right Said Fred has remained active. In 2024, their song "I'm Too Sexy" saw a remix by Eric Kupper reach number two on the Pop Download Chart, and they received their fifth Broadcast Music Award for their songwriting contribution to Beyoncé's "Alien Superstar." They have continued to release new music, including collaborations such as the single "Wunderbar!" with W*A*R*D and Bunny Tangent-Stitch, released in June 2025. Additionally, new mixes of their track "Spiritual War," produced by W*A*R*D, were released in December 2025. An EP titled "Raise Your Hands" is also listed for 2026. The band is actively touring, with concerts scheduled across Europe and the US throughout 2025 and 2026. They also released their autobiography, 'Still Too Sexy' (Surviving Right Said Fred), to critical acclaim.
