About the artist

Lo-fi indie
Shoegaze

Pretty Sick is an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2014 by vocalist and bassist Sabrina Fuentes when she was 13 years old. The band's sound blends lo-fi indie, shoegaze, alternative rock, grunge, riot grrrl, and post-punk, evolving over time to become grittier and more produced. Currently, the lineup includes Fuentes, drummer Eva Kaufman, and guitarist Benjamin Arauz. Their debut full-length album, *Makes Me Sick Makes Me Smile*, was released on September 30, 2022, via Dirty Hit. More recently, Pretty Sick released their *Streetwise* EP on June 27, and are actively working on a new album in London, which is described as blending elements from their previous works and exploring various genres, moving from lo-fi origins to a more produced sound with electronic and rock influences. Sabrina Fuentes has also ventured into acting, appearing in the 2023 film *Salamander Days* and having been shortlisted for *The Batman Part II*.
