About the artist

Ben Drew, known as Plan B, is a multi-platinum-selling artist, songwriter, producer, film director, and actor. A recipient of three Ivor Novello Awards—including the coveted Songwriter of the Year—he has also earned a BRIT Award and multiple MOBO Awards for his contributions to music. His debut album Who Needs Actions When You Got Words (2006) introduced him as a bold, uncompromising storyteller. He broke into the mainstream with The Defamation of Strickland Banks (2010), a UK #1 album that fused soul and R&B, featuring hits like “She Said” and “Stay Too Long.” Drew further pushed artistic boundaries by writing and directing the critically acclaimed film Ill Manors (2012), with its #1 UK soundtrack extending the film’s social themes through music. He has also made a lasting mark on the electronic and dance music scene, collaborating with UK drum and bass outfit Chase & Status on hits like “Pieces” and “End Credits,” and serving as the lead writer on tracks such as “Let You Go” and “Time.”
