PAWSA live history: tech house • house
PAWSA, whose real name is David Esekhile, is a British DJ and record producer from London, known for his distinctive take on tech house and house music. His sound is often described as inventive tech house with an old-school vibe, characterized by stripped-down, driving grooves, sparse melodies, and energetic vocal samples designed for the dancefloor. PAWSA co-founded the influential Solid Grooves Records in 2015 with Michael Bibi and launched his own imprint, PAWZ, in 2017. He is also one half of the collaborative project GOLFOS with Dennis Cruz. In 2024, PAWSA solidified his position in the UK electronic music scene with a string of notable releases, including "PICK UP THE PHONE" in May, which charted in the UK Top 50, and "Too Cool To Be Careless" in July. He released the highly anticipated single "COLLECT THE COMMAS" in October via CircoLoco Records and dropped a rework of "Dirty Cash (Money Talks)" in November, which peaked at number 3 in the UK Dance chart and garnered 56.9 million Spotify streams by the end of the year. He was also invited to deliver a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and was ranked among Mixmag's top producers who defined 2024. Looking ahead, PAWSA's momentum continued into 2025 with the release of his track "DOUBLE C," featured on the official soundtrack of F1 the Movie. He has several upcoming performances scheduled for 2025 and 2026, including appearances at Depot Mayfield, Club Space Miami, and Alexandra Palace.
