Parov Stelar, born Marcus Füreder, is an Austrian music producer, DJ, and composer widely recognized as a pioneer of electro swing, seamlessly blending electronic music with elements of jazz, swing, nu jazz, and blues. His distinctive sound is characterized by a fusion of modern beats, vintage sounds, and prominent brass sections. Stelar founded his own record label, Etage Noir Recordings, in 2003 and has since released ten studio albums, one live album, and over twenty EPs. He has also collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Lana Del Rey, Bryan Ferry, Marvin Gaye, and Lady Gaga. Beyond his musical career, Parov Stelar is also an accomplished visual artist, with his paintings and graphic designs exhibited in numerous galleries and shows since 2021, including solo exhibitions in 2022, 2023, and 2024. His latest endeavor is the release of his new album, "Artifact," scheduled for November 14th. The album, previewed by the single "Rebel Love," delves into a more experimental sound, integrating classical orchestrations, strings, and piano with electronic foundations, exploring themes of memory and parallel worlds. Parov Stelar is also embarking on a world tour throughout 2024 and 2025, performing his classic hits and new material at festivals and venues globally, with upcoming dates in Germany and a planned show in Paris in October 2025 to present his new album and a new show.
