Nubiyan Twist is a Leeds-born, London-based musical collective known for their eclectic blend of jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, Latin, soul, reggae, and electronic dance music. Orchestrated by guitarist/producer Tom Excell, the band features a dynamic 9 to 12-piece lineup with a robust horn section, soulful vocals, live dubs/electronics, and an international rhythm section. Their latest album, "Find Your Flame," was released in May 2024 and includes collaborations with Nile Rodgers, Seun Kuti, and corto.alto. The album welcomes Sheffield-based vocalist Aziza Jaye, and its themes reflect resilience, empowerment, and socio-political commentary. In March 2025, Nubiyan Twist released a new track called 'Breeze' that fuses soulful UK sound system styles.
