About Ninajirachi

Ninajirachi, born Nina Wilson, is an Australian electronic DJ and producer from the Central Coast, New South Wales. Her music is characterized by a blend of hyperpop and electroclash, incorporating experimental soundscapes, frenetic 8-bit inspired hooks, and melodic lines, often influenced by nature, fantasy, science fiction, and magic. She describes her distinctive sound and aesthetic as "girl EDM," a playful update on the genre. In recent endeavors, Ninajirachi released her critically acclaimed debut album, *I Love My Computer*, on August 8, 2025. The album, which offers a high-octane and innovative take on 2010s EDM, garnered eight nominations at the 2025 ARIA Music Awards, the most of any artist that year, and won Best Solo Artist, Breakthrough Artist, and Best Independent Release. It also won triple j's 2025 J Award for Australian Album of the Year. Prior to this, she released the full-length album *girl EDM (disc 1)* in September 2024, which expanded on her "girl EDM" sound with elements of electro-house, progressive house, and hard dance. This followed her "Girl EDM" EP in May 2024 and the "4x4" EP in late 2023, the latter being a conscious effort to create club dance music. Ninajirachi has also been recognized for her innovative production work, including developing the official demo project for Ableton Live 11. She has toured extensively, with festival performances at events like Lollapalooza, Hard Summer, and Spilt Milk, and has toured with artists such as Charli XCX and Cashmere Cat. She was also named Spotify's EQUAL Ambassador for April 2025 and featured in Rolling Stone AU/NZ's "Future of Music 2025" list.
