Maurizio Nari, often known simply as Nari, is a prominent Italian DJ, producer, and key figure in the international dance music scene, with a career spanning several decades. Hailing from the Romagna Riviera, he began DJing during its nightlife's golden age and has since become a significant influence in electronic and funky house music. * Early Career and Nerio’s Dubwork: Nari started as a DJ in the vibrant club scene of Romagna. In 1995, he met Ronnie Milani, and together they formed Nerio’s Dubwork, producing the hit "Sunshine & Happiness" featuring Darryl Pandy, which topped the Billboard Dance Chart in 1999. * Nari & Milani: In 2006, Nari and Milani evolved their partnership into Nari & Milani, producing global hits like "Atom," which was named the best track at the 2012 Winter Music Conference by MTV America and Dancing Astronaut. They performed at major festivals such as Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival and collaborated with artists like Bob Sinclar, Tiësto, and Alex Gaudino. * Acetone Label: In 2021, Nari co-founded Acetone, a funky house label, with Jens Lissat, involving artists like Max Magnani, Steve Tosi, Sandro Puddu, and DJ Michelle. Acetone fuses retro sounds with modern vibes, achieving significant success, including five tracks in Beatport’s Funky House Top Ten in 2024 and nearly 100 releases that year. The label has gained international recognition, with presence at events like the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and Miami Music Week.
