Nai Barghouti is a Palestinian singer, composer, and flute player renowned for her captivating voice and genre-defying music. Born in Jerusalem and raised in Ramallah, her style seamlessly blends traditional and classical Arabic music with Western classical music and jazz. She often incorporates elements of vocal jazz, particularly scat singing, and Arabic music into her performances, which include her own works and interpretations of Arab classics. Barghouti pursued formal music education in the United States and obtained a master's degree in jazz music from the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where she had the freedom to integrate her Arabic roots into her projects. In recent endeavors, Nai Barghouti embarked on her biggest UK tour in February 2025, performing with new programs and setlists, including collaborations with orchestras in Glasgow and London. In February 2023, she collaborated with world-renowned American DJ and record producer Skrillex on a track that gained global recognition, sparking her interest in electronic Arabic music, particularly Palestinian folklore and original compositions. She also released her album "Nai 1" in 2022, which features a fusion of Arabic and Middle Eastern folk music. Barghouti continues to perform internationally, advocating for music as a human right and a tool for unity, and is praised for her powerful and emotive performances that transcend borders.
