MY FIRST STORY live history: j-rock • j-pop • anime
MY FIRST STORY is a Japanese rock band formed in Shibuya, Tokyo, in 2011, known for their blend of j-rock, j-pop, and anime-related music. The band consists of vocalist Hiroki Moriuchi, guitarist Teruki Nishizawa, bassist Nobuaki Katō, and drummer Shōhei Sasaki. After their debut album in 2012, they gained attention and began appearing at major music festivals. Their fourth studio album, *Antithese* (2016), reached number four on the Oricon chart and led to their first show at Nippon Budokan. In recent years, MY FIRST STORY has continued to be active, celebrating their 10th anniversary with the release of their best album "X" in August 2022. In November 2023, they held a special one-night-only live show titled "VS" with One Ok Rock at Tokyo Dome. They contributed the opening theme "Mugen" and the ending theme "Tokoshie" (featuring Hyde) for the fourth season of the popular anime *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba* in 2024. Their latest album, "The Crown," was released on May 8, 2024. The band has also been on an "ASIA TOUR 2025," with dates including Singapore in July 2025 and South Korea in May 2025. However, in February 2026, MY FIRST STORY announced a temporary hiatus to allow members to reflect and recharge, with a statement released on their official social media channels.
