Ms* Gloom is an evolving Los Angeles-based artist known for her genre-defying sound that blends electroclash, indie dance, indie electronic, electropop, and electro trance, often incorporating darkwave-esque atmospheric qualities, synth-pop, and techno elements. Her debut mixtape, "J Is For Joon," was released on February 27, 2026, featuring 16 tracks that delve into themes of identity and autonomy. This follows her 2024 EP "Ballads for da Bizness" and a string of successful singles in 2025, including the viral "Something To Hold Onto" (released in both harder and softer versions), "Hi, Society" (which garnered attention for its "Gossip Girl" energy and self-directed music video), "Joker," and "Got It In Tha Mix." Ms* Gloom, who previously recorded as Joon Gloom and ava*, has sold out shows in New York and Los Angeles, DJed at notable venues, and earned recognition in the Scandinavian underground for her distinctive style and collaborations with producers like Silent$ky. Her aesthetic often draws inspiration from Art Deco design and film noir.
