Melody (Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez) is a Spanish singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and model, renowned for her flamenco pop style. She gained widespread fame at the age of 10 with her hit song "El baile del gorila" in 2001. Throughout her career, she has released six albums and numerous successful singles across Spanish and Latin American markets. Most recently, Melody represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song "Esa diva," following her victory at Benidorm Fest 2025. She finished 24th in the Eurovision competition. Following Eurovision, Melody addressed speculation about her return to Spain, clarifying that she needed to be with her son and denying rumors of "running away" from Basel. She also has an upcoming song titled "Apagón".
