About Max Drazen

All it takes is a moment to recognize the musical gift that Max Drazen effortlessly possesses. In less than a year, the LA-based songwriter has amassed a fanbase for his catchy and relatable song snippets. Whether he’s playfully rap-singing or crooning silky R&B hooks, Drazen writes charismatic songs, from a viewpoint of life as it actually occurs. Signed to Zack Bia and James Canton’s Field Trip Recordings, Drazen is ready to dig deeper into his influences and abilities. Born and raised in Connecticut, his parents put him onto Elton John and Billy Joel, and as he got older, he fell in love with artists like Smino, J. Cole, The 1975 and Two Door Cinema Club. The pieces would connect junior year of high school, when Drazen went over to a friend’s house and wrote his first song which gave him a deep sense of purpose. After enrolling in college Drazen shifted his focus to songwriting, developing a sinewy, genre-agnostic voice and centering his authentic perspective as a kid from the ‘burbs. Shortly after the pandemic, Drazen was signed by Fourward, where Max quickly started his development as a songwriter and artist. During a session with Dave Villa, Drazen recorded his pulsing debut single “Let Me Down Slow,” a dancey breakup record full of scorched guitar, power vocals and lyrical details that make it feel intimate. Now, Drazen has his eyes set on the future, with more genre-traversing songs on the way.
