Formerly a member of the indie band South By Zero, Bawtree launched his solo career with his debut single "Starting Line" on March 21, 2025, a track that uses the metaphor of running to explore the emotional complexities of a challenging relationship. In November 2025, he embarked on his "Spinning Out" UK headline tour, performing in cities such as Manchester, London, and Folkestone with a full band.
