Mashk is a Parisian DJ and producer known for his emotive melodic techno and melodic house, a style he describes as an extension of contemporary classical music. Born Harold Grand-Jacquot, he began his musical journey at age five with piano, later transitioning to saxophone and becoming a public professor of music theory and saxophone in Paris. His diverse influences span from Bach and Coltrane to Steve Reich and Arvo Pärt, shaping a sound characterized by its ability to evoke feelings, dreams, and desires through immersive soundscapes and intricate melodies. In his endeavors, Mashk frequently releases music on labels such as Labo T, Steyoyoke, and Parquet Recordings. He unveiled his single "Reliance" in April 2023 through Labo T, a track noted for its emotional depth, rapid tempo, and broken beat, evolving from a piano-driven intro to a captivating breakbeat loop. More recently, Mashk delivered "Mirror Of Souls" on Steyoyoke in May 2025, an introspective single that fuses deep emotion with melodic elegance.
