Marie Franc is a five-piece Manchester-based band that crafts a blend of dream-pop and soul-tinged indie, often described as "dream-folk" with influences from '90s shoegaze, modern alt-pop, country, pop, and jazz. Their sound features sultry guitar textures, hypnotic bass lines, and emotionally rich vocals, characterized as "buttery warm but sharp as ice". Led by singer-songwriter Rachel Maria Francesca, the band recently unveiled their newest single, "Fabric," on February 27, 2026. This follows their 2025 single "Leave The Light On," the second release from their upcoming debut EP *Saturday Boy*, which was due later in 2025. The EP also features the single "Loungewear," which gained support from BBC Introducing. Marie Franc has sold out headline shows, performed at Moovin Festival, and received early support from BBC Introducing Manchester. They are scheduled to play a string of major UK festivals in Summer 2026 and have recently performed live, including at the Lending Room in Leeds on March 19, 2026.
