Maisi and the Disco is an alt-pop artist, producer, and DJ, who describes her sound as "existential angst pop," characterized by a blend of glossy, forward-thinking production with deeply introspective and often humorous lyricism capturing the experiences of being in one's twenties. Her music also incorporates elements of hyperpop and disco. Maisi and the Disco recently released the single "DISCO!" on May 22, 2026. In October 2025, she released her four-track EP "u could be something," which included the single "try," hailed as one of her most vulnerable works exploring self-sabotage and the fear of unrealized potential. Beyond her music, Maisi is the founder of the "Cxnty School Disco" club nights, known for their chaotic energy and 2000s nostalgia, which have gained significant popularity and even featured at Truck Festival. She is also a co-founder of LOUD LDN, a community dedicated to supporting women and non-binary artists in London's underground music scene. Her collaboration with piri on the track 'Head' topped the TikTok charts in 2024, contributing to her significant online presence with over 180,000 social media followers.
