About the artist

As MØ, Danish singer Karen Marie Aagaard Ørsted bridges the worlds of pop, indie and electronic. Launching onto the music scene in 2013 with the single "Pilgrim", which showcased her beat-driven music alongside glitchy electronics, sparse guitar melodies, and sultry vocals, and later that year lent her vocals to Swedish producer Avicii's song "Dear Boy”. Her debut full-length “No Mythologies to Follow” appeared in 2014. She guested with Major Lazer and DJ Snake on the 2015 global smash "Lean On", which topped the charts globally, becoming one of the most streamed songs of all time. She teamed up with Major Lazer once again on "Cold Water," which featured MØ and Justin Bieber on vocals, and the track became her highest-charting single in the US to date and topped the UK singles chart. In 2017, she released an EP, “When I Was Young” and in 2018, stopped the Danish charts with her second release “Forever Neverland”. In 2022 she released her album “Motordrome” and in 2024, ntroduced a new chapter with “Plæygirl”, her fourth studio album set for release on May 16th 2025. The album was preceded by the singles, "Who Said," a cover of Avicii's "Wake Me Up," "Sweet" featuring Biig Piig, "Keep Møving" and "Lose Yourself".
