LP (Laura Pergolizzi) is an American singer-songwriter and musician known for her distinctive powerhouse vocals, often featuring a whistle-like vibrato, and her genre-bending sound that blends pop rock, alternative rock, and indie pop. Her music is characterized by anthemic choruses, emotional storytelling lyrics, and a unique stage presence, frequently incorporating the ukulele and harmonica. Before achieving international fame with her 2017 hit "Lost On You," LP also penned songs for a roster of acclaimed artists including Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, and Céline Dion.
