Picture the anthemic melodies of Oasis, but with slick contemporary production and you’ve got the unmistakable sound of LOWER LOVEDAY, a band with huge ambitions. The band are riding a wave after a recent play on BBC Radio 1 and their last single ‘Bandwagon’ receiving national radio play (Radio X), national TV (Made In Chelsea) and reaching number 1 on the iTunes Rock chart. The name LOWER LOVEDAY is taken from the street in Birmingham where Tom (Drummer) wrote his first songs whilst living at university. Those months in Lower Loveday Street would inspire new dreams and goals, leading to the creation of the band alongside Mark (Vocals). They soon decided Manchester was the place to pursue their musical ambitions. LOVER LOVEDAY’s sound takes influence from Arctic Monkeys, Oasis and Blossoms, but compliments that sound with contemporary production. National radio (BBC Radio 1, Radio X, Tom Robinson, BBC 6Music) and national TV (Made In Chelsea, This Morning) have placed the band on industry radars. Whilst support slots for the likes of Only The Poets, King No One, APRE and UPSAHL - along with appearances at BBC Introducing stages across UK festivals - have seen the band begin to cement a loyal live following across the country.
