About the artist

Loose Articles are a Manchester-based "funky punk" quartet, formed in 2019, consisting of Natalie on bass and vocals, Erin on lead guitar and vocals, Abbi on drums and backing vocals, and Anna on keys, rhythm guitar, and percussion. The band's name was inspired by a sign at Alton Towers. They draw inspiration from everyday life, addressing topics like misogyny, gender roles, and the struggles within the music industry with sarcastic lyrics and a "funky punk beat". They released their debut album 'Scream If You Wanna Go Faster' in 2024. Loose Articles are currently working on their second album and have announced their Arts Council England-funded "Kick Like A Girl Extra Time!" touring project for early 2025, aimed at encouraging young female and non-binary individuals to participate in the music industry.
