Buy tickets for Les Amazones d'Afrique concerts: gnawa
Les Amazones d'Afrique is an all-female supergroup formed in Bamako, Mali, in 2014 by renowned Malian music stars and social change activists Mamani Keïta, Oumou Sangaré, and Mariam Doumbia. The collective has since expanded to include many female artists from across Africa and the diaspora, such as Angélique Kidjo and Nneka, campaigning for gender equality and the eradication of ancestral violence. Their music, which the user describes as gnawa, blends diverse pan-African styles and collaborative harmonies with contemporary pop elements. Their latest album, "Musow Danse," was released worldwide on February 16, 2024. While there are currently no upcoming tour dates listed, a recent endeavor includes being featured in an Africanews podcast in October 2025, discussing "Echoes of Africa: les Amazones d'Afrique portent la voix des femmes," highlighting their ongoing mission to amplify women's voices.
