Léo Foguete, born Mayrllon de Castro Souza on February 25, 2004, in Petrolina, Pernambuco, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter known for his dynamic blend of forró, piseiro, sertanejo, arrocha, agronejo, and electronic forró, often characterized as romantic forró. He gained significant prominence in 2024 with his song "Última Noite," featuring Nattan, which quickly ascended to the Top 10 on Spotify Brazil. This success was followed by his debut album, "Obrigado Deus," also released in 2024, which secured the number one spot on Spotify Brazil's most listened-to list. Prior to his musical breakthrough, Léo Foguete navigated a challenging path, working various jobs including doorman, delivery person, and in construction, while honing his musical talents, which began with playing the guitar at age six. His career received a boost after he composed "Mais Uma Noite," recorded by João Gomes, leading to a contract with Acertei Produções. In his latest endeavors, Léo Foguete released the single "Golaço" on June 9, 2026. His album "Mais de Mim" was released in 2025, and a live album, "A Essência (In Campina Grande, Ao Vivo)," came out in 2026. He recently completed a marathon of 23 shows during the São João festivals in June 2026 and is currently preparing a new album for release in the second half of 2026, for which he has recorded over 60 songs.
