About Ladaniva

Ladaniva is a French-Armenian world music group formed in 2019 in Lille, composed of Armenian singer Jaklin Baghdasaryan and French multi-instrumentalist Louis Thomas. Their musical style is a vibrant fusion inspired by traditional Balkan music, maloya, Armenian folklore, and global influences including Latin American, African, jazz, and reggae rhythms. In their latest endeavors, Ladaniva represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with their song "Jako", successfully reaching the final. They released their self-titled debut album in 2023 and received a Music Moves Europe Award from the Public Choice Award in 2022. The duo continues to release new music, with recent singles like "Here's to you Ararat" and "Saraiman" in 2024, and perform at various events, including a recent concert at the Armenian Street Festival in Bucharest, Romania.
