Kyle Lux makes salmon in his free time. It’s the meal he knows how to cook really, so they say. With brussel sprouts and basmati rice on the side (and soyaki sauce from Trader Joe’s). He’s a lover of Wendy’s fast food but will make the trip to McDonalds if needed (LA needs more Wendy’s). Born and raised in South Carolina, Kyle had his start in music in the church. He was a momma’s boy, and his momma sat on the choir, so he sat on the choir. It was there where he’d find his voice and establish his connection as a spiritual one. Kyle released his first song, Rollin’ Stone in 2019, which has since amassed over 7 million plays across streaming platforms. His debut EP, No Roof Access, would follow later in the year, establishing himself as a contemporary R&B artist. His sophomore EP, Projectors, would follow the next year in 2020 with songs like “Are You in Love?” generating over 4 million plays across streaming platforms. With his new music, Kyle plans to lean into the dance influences that he’s discovered since quarantine started. A newly fan of house music, and a longtime lover of funk, Kyle plans to take a newer, lighter direction for his next project.
