About Kitty Rae

Hey legend! :) I'm Kitty Rae and I make dark electropop music that hopefully helps you feel a little lighter and less alone when you're going through a hard time. Music is a therapy for me - I channel all of my emotional ups and downs into melodies and lyrics, and really think music is a powerful tool for helping us embrace ourselves and understand the world around us. I decided to jump into making my own music in 2020. My partner Ryan and I started to watch hours and hours of YouTube tutorials and have honed our production, writing & music business skills over the years. I really think I help people best through music and want to do it for the rest of my life. My debut album 'Lightning Strikes' ⚡️ comes out on September 22. It's funny - I often think I write in abstract, fiction ways but looking at the album it really is a reflection of my journey as a queer creative trying to find myself in a world constantly questioning my identity and passion.
