About the artist

Living on an island breeds a different way of thinking in people. Growing up in Prince Edward Island, King Ing had to learn to maneuver downtown alleys and dirt roads, and the people that he ran into along the way. In a place where there’s not much to do but talk and listen, all eyes are on you when you step outside of the status quo. The anxiety that comes with that awareness is a tough thing to tackle when you grew up performing for 1,100 people when you were too young to understand, or is that just what happens when you’re yourself and not playing a role? Currently, King Ing is hard at work on many surprises behind the sealed drawbridge. What is known is that he’s laying the groundwork for his debut project to establish himself as a professional artist in the scene and industry. The castle is aflutter, the cannons are being loaded, the horns are being polished, the strings are being tuned, and the banners are being raised, expect big things from King Ing in 2023.
