KATSEYE is a six-member K-pop-inspired global girl group based in Los Angeles, composed of Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung, with members hailing from the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States. Formed through the 2023 reality competition series "Dream Academy," a collaboration between Hybe and Geffen Records, their journey was documented in the Netflix docuseries "Popstar Academy: Katseye." The group debuted in June 2024 with the single "Debut" and later released their first extended play (EP), "SIS (Soft Is Strong)," in late 2024. Their second EP, "Beautiful Chaos," released in June 2025, achieved significant success, debuting at number four on the Billboard 200. The lead single from this EP, "Gnarly," released in April 2025, marked their first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. More recently, in early 2026, KATSEYE received two Grammy Award nominations: Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their single "Gabriela." They performed an amplified version of "Gnarly" at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, earning a standing ovation. In November 2024, they released "Flame," the theme song for the Netflix animated series "Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld." The group also attended New York Fashion Week for Coach in September 2024, leading to promotional endorsements for the brand. In December 2025, KATSEYE was ranked second in Google's U.S. "Trending Musicians" list.
