Karen Dió is a Brazilian-born, Brighton-based artist known for her fuming, feminist punk and "Latin riot grrrl" sound. Gaining recognition as the vocalist and guitarist of the Brazilian alt-rock band Violet Soda, she embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut EP, *My World*, in October 2024. The EP showcases her uncompromising punk spirit, shaped by her Brazilian roots, and tackles themes of female empowerment and societal frustrations. Karen's music is inspired by artists like Joan Jett, Veruca Salt and Avril Lavigne. She recently toured with Sum 41, is preparing for a EU/UK tour with Limp Bizkit in Spring 2025, and is scheduled to play Download Festival in June 2025. In April 2025, she released two covers for Amazon's Artists To Watch 2025 series, including a punk rendition of Chappell Roan's "Casual" and a cover of Pitty's "I Wanna Be".
