A Dark Synth Duo from Athens Nikos K. // Myrto Stylou 'KALTE NACHT' is a dark synth duet that has emerged from the Athenian underground. Starting as a solo project back in 2017 from Nikos K. and very soon shaping into a duο with Myrto Stylou on vocals, KALTE NACHT is a project that combines dark wave urban aesthetics with atmospheric inner soundscapes, expressed through haunting vocals, analog synthesizers with tripping sounds and drum machines. Inspired by deep inner motions, human relationships, and everyday exchanges, they are walking on the thin line between shadow and light, interacting with the listener, not only through their music but also with each unique live performance. All of the above was reflected in their debut 8-track self-titled album, which came out in March 2020 by Geheimnis Records in digital and vinyl format, and was sold out from the first months of its release. It was presented through several live performances in some of the most prominent Greek and European music venues and festivals, such as Wave Gottik Treffen, Sinner’s Day Summer Festival, Death Disco Open Air Festival. In March 2021, the digital single ‘Our Moments Are Answers’ was released. In May 2022, KALTE NACHT joined the Cold Transmission label, and released their debut album in CD format. KALTE NACHT are now working on their sophomore album, which will be released in 2024.
