Julien Granel is a French artist known for his energetic, colorful, and radiant French indie pop and French pop music, often infused with elements of funk, jazz, and electronic sounds. A graduate of the Bordeaux conservatory, Granel draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists including Mika, David Bowie, Queen, Elton John, Prince, The Beatles, Jamiroquai, and Daft Punk. He gained early recognition opening for Angèle on more than 40 arena shows and released his debut album, "Cooleur," in either 2021 or 2022, which featured collaborations with artists like Chromeo and Pedro Winter (Busy P of Ed Banger). In recent endeavors, Julien Granel had an exceptional 2024, during which he was nominated for "Best Newcomer" at the Victoires de la Musique and became the most booked artist at French festivals, performing over 180 shows, including two sold-out concerts in Paris at La Cigale and L'Elysée Montmartre. He has also collaborated with Grammy-nominated rapper Theophilus London on the single "BB DANSE". Looking ahead, Granel has announced an event date at the Olympia in Paris on May 17, 2025, as part of his 2025 tour. He continues to be recognized for his unique style, captivating stage presence, and the bright, feel-good nature of his music and visually striking, sometimes Dadaistic, music videos. Granel was also seen at Bluemarble's Menswear Ready-to-wear Spring-Summer 2026 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week in June 2025.
