JONAS LOVV, born Jonas Lovv Hellesøy, is a Norwegian singer-songwriter originally from Bergen, known for his dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals. He embraces multiple genres, but has a strong affinity for rock and indie rock, a style he fully embraced after his semi-final run on The Voice Norway in 2025. His energetic performances and ability to connect with audiences are defining characteristics of his artistry, with his stage presence drawing comparisons to Freddie Mercury. Most recently, JONAS LOVV won Melodi Grand Prix 2026 with his rock anthem "Ya Ya Ya," securing a landslide victory in both jury and televotes. This win earned him the honor of representing Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria, where he is scheduled to perform in the second half of the second semi-final on May 14. In the lead-up to Eurovision, he has been actively involved in pre-party events, participating in the Nordic Eurovision Party in Oslo and confirmed for Eurovision in Concert 2026 in Amsterdam and the London Eurovision Party 2026. His national broadcaster, NRK, has also publicly affirmed its support for his freedom of expression on various topics. In 2023, he released the EP "Fotografisk Minne."
