Jolin is a highly influential Taiwanese singer, songwriter, and actress, widely recognized as the "Queen of C-Pop" or "Asian Pop Queen." Her music spans Mandopop, C-pop, and Taiwanese pop, and she is celebrated for her continuous reinvention in musical style and visual image, as well as her dynamic stage presence and trendsetting fashion. Throughout her career, which spans over two decades, Jolin has incorporated social themes into her dance-pop brand of music, garnering both commercial success and critical acclaim. She has sold over 25 million records, making her the highest-selling female recording artist in Taiwan since 2000, and has won seven Golden Melody Awards. Her latest endeavors include the release of her 15th studio album, "Pleasure," on July 25, 2025, which explores themes of desire and the awakening of female consciousness. This album serves as the thematic foundation for her "Pleasure World Tour," which commenced with sold-out shows at the Taipei Dome on December 30, 2025, and continued into January 2026. Recently, Jolin's management team initiated legal action against an influencer who made "cult-like" accusations regarding the "Pleasure World Tour," which her team refuted as false interpretations. She also held an album signing event for "Pleasure" in Taipei in November 2025, attended by over 5,000 fans. Additionally, updates were shared on the delayed "UGLY BEAUTY World Tour" DVD and Blu-ray release, which is expected once audio mixing is complete, and the upcoming vinyl release of "Pleasure."
