Jeune Morty is a Franco-Ivorian rapper from Choisy-le-Roi, France, known for his unique blend of rap ivoire, French rap, and new wave sounds. Born in 2002, he infuses his music with African influences like coupé-décalé and zouglou, alongside American trap and French hip-hop, creating an audacious and deeply personal style he describes as a "new sonorité" that is hard to categorize. He began his musical journey in 2019, quickly gaining recognition with tracks such as "Storytelling," "Dead Ops Arcade," and "Rêve." His recent endeavors include the release of his mixtape "Jeune Morty Vol.1" on March 27, 2026, which features 20 songs and further explores his experimental style by combining electronic elements with his cultural heritage. In 2025, his critically acclaimed project "Eponyme" was released, earning the 9th spot on Pitchfork's list of best albums for that year and introducing his music to a wider European audience. Jeune Morty has also been active with live performances, including a concert at the Bourse de Commerce on March 28, 2026, and upcoming festival appearances in June 2026 at events like We Love Green in Paris and Festival Marsatac in Marseille. He continues to release new singles, such as "Katy Perry" and "Shrooms" in 2026.
