JAYNIE is a pop singer-songwriter from Sweden. She takes influences from the music of the early 2000s to create her own playful sound, while still keeping a somewhat darker self-examining sub-meaning to it. The melodies and lyrics shows her vulnerability and stubbornness when handling situations in life like insecurities, young love and disappointment. Her first single ”Socially Awkward” is a song for anyone who feels like they don’t know how to act around people and that a lot of times you get anxiety about the whole situation. It’s like no matter what you do, you’re either too much or just too little, so you get stuck in some kind of middle. ”I’ve always been scared of being a failure, but what I’ve realized is that I’m okay with that, because everyone else has no clue what the hell they’re doing either.”
